The 84th episode of the NHK morning drama "Bakeke" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi, was broadcast on January 29th. At the end of the episode, Toki (Takaishi) and Heaven (Tommy Bastow) repeatedly whisper "Switch!" to Shoda (Hama Shogo), which became a hot topic among viewers.
Toki and Heaven happen upon Sawa (Marui Wan) and Shoda together. Toki is surprised by the unexpected reunion with Shoda, but is happy to see Sawa again after so long. Sawa explains that Shoda is helping her study for the teacher's exam. Heaven takes a liking to Shoda and invites him and Sawa to her home.
While Toki is enjoying a long-awaited conversation with Sawa, Heaven and Shoda are also sitting on the veranda talking. Heaven learns Shoda's real name and realizes that he is Nishikori's (Yoshizawa Ryo) successor teacher. Heaven lowers her voice and asks about her relationship with Sawa, "What are you going to do?", but Shoda replies that he is just helping her study.
Toki also asks Sawa, "Could it be that...were we in the way?" and "Were we supposed to have a rendezvous today?", but Sawa hastily denies it, saying, "Not at all."
Later, Shoda visits Heaven and Toki's house alone. As the three listen to the insects singing on the veranda, Shoda says, "There are some umaoi as well," and mutters, "Switch!" Toki asks, "By the way, what happened today?" Shoda laughs and says, "I just wanted to meet you two. I had a lot of fun talking to you the other day."
He continued, "But... this isn't really about anything... Osawa-san..." Toki and Heaven became excited, but Shoda quickly corrected himself by saying, "No, no, it's nothing. Well, I came here today because I had a really good time talking to you two the other day. No, no, it's not about anything... we're not talking about anything..."
Heaven exchanged a wink with Toki and asked Shoda, "Really?" Toki responded, "Are you sure it's true?" Toki muttered, "Osawa, switch..." and Heaven leaned closer to Shoda and whispered, "Switch?"
