Souta has just entered Yoshizumi Nursery School. One day, while he was drawing a picture of a "flying car," a friend at the nursery pointed out that there was no such car. Souta retorted, "I've only ridden in it once with my mom," but they didn't believe him and laughed at him, calling him a liar. With a sad look on his face, Souta muttered, "I'm not lying."
On his way home that day, Souta looked up at the sky and said sadly, "The car... it's not flying. They called me a liar. (My good friend) Leo isn't here. Arisa isn't here either. My house is different. My daycare is different." Finally, he vented his frustration at Mirai, saying, "My mommy isn't here either. I want to see my mommy. I want to see my mommy," and burst into tears.
On social media, people were talking about the incident, saying things like, "Oh Souta. He's worried, he's lonely, he wants to see his mom. When Souta cries, I can't help but get caught up in it," "Souta makes me cry every week," "Souta's tears really move me. He's a really good actor," and "The child actor who will play my future son is an amazing actor."
The drama is based on the popular manga "Future Son: A Son Came Down From the Sky!" written by Kumiko Aso and illustrated by Hajime Kuromugi. This is Shida's first role as a mother in 20 years, since the 2006 drama "14-Year-Old Mother" (NTV).
