It has been revealed that "History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi 2: Master Edition (tentative title)," a sequel to Matsuena Shun's fighting manga "History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi," which was also adapted into a TV anime, will begin serialization on Shogakukan's web manga service "Sunday Webry" on March 25th. The popular fighting manga will be "revived" as the third installment of a new series commemorating the 10th anniversary of "Sunday Webry" this year.
"History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi" is the story of a young boy, Kenichi Shirahama, who, inspired by the beautiful girl Miu Furinji, joins the dojo, Ryozanpaku, where he undergoes rigorous training and grows as a person. The series was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 2002 to 2014. A TV anime series aired from 2006 to 2007.
More than 15 new serializations will start in "Sunday Webry" from January 30th. On January 30th, Hazuki's "I Spent Today Without Getting Found Out!" will begin, followed by Minami's "The Crazy Love of the Prince Spadari" around March, "History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi 2: Master Arc (working title)" on March 25th, Hakone Ari's "Belphegor on the Verge of Death (working title)" around March, "Result (working title)" by Kiso Jiro and Miura Ren's illustrations around March, and Natsuba Kanna's "The Demon Lord, Lili Revenge!" and Ayukawa Ao's "Natori Shizuha" will begin serialization around May.
