The variety show "Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan" (TV Tokyo, Tuesdays 8:54pm) hosted by entertainer Imada Koji, freelance announcer Fukuzawa Akira, and former Sakurazaka46 member Sugai Yuuka, will feature a letter from Saigo Takamori, a hero of the Meiji Restoration who is also known as the protagonist of the 2018 NHK Taiga drama "Segodon," as a treasure on January 27th.
The treasure is a handwritten letter from Saigo about the drowning incident, and if it is genuine it would be a new discovery that could change history... The program says it will have shock value.
Also appearing on the show is former professional baseball player Toshiaki Imae. The treasure is a championship ring from the 1st World Baseball Classic (WBC) held in 2006, and the appraisal result is so high that it sends the studio into a frenzy.
