Singer Keiko Masuda, also known as KEI of the female duo Pink Lady, will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will air on January 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
Pink Lady will celebrate its 50th anniversary this August. At the time, they would only get three hours of sleep, work on over a dozen jobs a day, and sometimes even take a nap on a mat in the corner of the studio.
Until she got married at the age of 44, she didn't pay much attention to what she ate, but thanks to her husband's love of cooking, she started making her own dashi stock and creating a variety of dishes with the aim of providing a carefully prepared meal. In 2024, her husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In contrast to her distraught mother, Masuda's husband quietly accepted his remaining time and lived with a smile until the end, so she decided to continue living a carefully prepared life with a smile herself.
