Kensho Ono and Reina Ueda hold a "rally" in Kabukicho, their first new work in five years is "There's a lot I can't say..."

An event to commemorate the imminent release of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash, The Witch of Circe," the second chapter of the popular Gundam anime film series "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash 's Flash" (directed by Murase Shukou), was held on January 18th at Kabukicho Cinecity Square (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), with Kensho Ono, who plays Hathaway Noah, and Reina Ueda, who plays Gigi Andalusia, making an appearance. "Circe's Witch," the first new film in about five years, will be released on January 30th, and Ono commented, "Sorry to have kept you waiting! There are so many things I want to say but can't, so I'm looking forward to seeing the reaction after people see it!"

There are still many details about Chapter 2 that cannot be revealed, but Ono said, "There are times when Hathaway's thoughts are shown on his face, so I hope you will watch it on the big screen," and Ueda said, "There is a scene where Hathaway is troubled and conflicted, and there is a similar scene with Gigi. He is troubled, but what was striking was that he worries in a different way. I hope you will pay attention to that as well."

At the event, they also performed live dubbing. Ono said, "I'm nervous," and Ueda said, "I'm nervous," as they attempted live dubbing of a famous scene from Chapter 1.

At the event, the band [Alexandros] held a guerrilla live performance, performing the first chapter's theme song, "Flash," causing a stir in Kabukicho. A project called "Flash Senkou Activities," in which a pumpkin-headed character known as "Fake Mufty" appears around Tokyo, was also a hot topic on the anime's official social media accounts, and it was announced that the true identity of "Fake Mufty" is Matsui Kemuri of the comedy duo "Reiwa Roman."

"Hathaway's Flash" is based on a novel published in 1989-90 by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, known as the creator of the "Gundam" series. Set in the year 0105 of the Universal Century, Hathaway, the son of Bright Noa, who experienced a bitter separation during the Second Neo Zeon War, pilots a new mobile suit, the XI Gundam, and rises up in rebellion against the Earth Federation government. The anime has been announced to consist of three chapters, with the first chapter, released in June 2021, being a hit, grossing approximately 2.23 billion yen. The second chapter, "Circe's Witch," will be released on January 30th.
