The "Flash 'Senkou' Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash : Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash 's Flash - The Witch of Circe," was held at Kabukicho Cinecity Square (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) on January 18th, where the band "Alexandros" (Alexandros) performed a guerrilla live show. Reina Ueda, who plays Gigi Andalusia, called out, "Go for it! [Alexandros]," and "[Alexandros]" performed three songs, including "Flash," the theme song for the first chapter, as well as "Girl A" and "Koeru," causing a stir in Kabukicho.
Yohei Kawakami of [Alexandros] said, "[Alexandros] celebrated its 15th anniversary last year. This year, we feel like newcomers, and our first live performance will be a street performance!"
Kensho Ono, who plays Hathaway Noah, also appeared at the event. The "Flashing Senkou Activities" project, in which a pumpkin-headed character known as "Fake Mufty" appears in Tokyo, has been a hot topic on the anime's official social media accounts, and it was announced that the true identity of "Fake Mufty" is Kemuri Matsui of the comedy duo "Reiwa Roman."
"Hathaway's Flash" is based on a novel published in 1989-90 by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, known as the creator of the "Gundam" series. Set in the year 0105 of the Universal Century, Hathaway, the son of Bright Noa, who experienced a bitter separation during the Second Neo Zeon War, pilots a new mobile suit, the XI Gundam, and rises up in rebellion against the Earth Federation government. The anime has been announced to be made up of three chapters, with the first chapter, released in June 2021, being a hit, grossing approximately 2.23 billion yen at the box office.
The second chapter, "Circe's Witch," will be released on January 30th. It has also been announced that Yohei Kawakami of [Alexandros] and singer SennaRin will be performing the insert song "ENDROLL" for the second chapter.
