The 12th episode of the popular detective drama "AIBOU Season 24" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm), entitled "Special Investigation Unit Jinkawa Kouhei," was broadcast on January 14th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 9.3% for households and 5.1% for individuals.
In "AIBOU," Ukyo Sugishita (Yutaka Mizutani), a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Special Investigation Unit, uses his genius mind to solve difficult cases with his "partner." Since the show began airing in 2000, four partners have been created: Kameyama Kaoru (Yasufumi Terawaki), Kobe Takeru (Mitsuhiro Oikawa), Kai Toru (Hiroki Narimiya), and Kanjo Wataru (Takashi Sorimachi). In season 21, the original partner, Kaoru, returns to the Special Investigation Unit, marking the 11th season of the "golden duo" with Kaoru.
Ryuji Harada and Rio Yamashita made guest appearances in episode 12.
A strange incident occurs when Jinkawa (Harada), a detective from the Second Division, tracks down the culprit in a series of unsolved thefts and is awarded a commendation. In fact, Jinkawa has set up an unofficial department called the Special Investigation Unit, or "Special Investigation Unit" for short, together with Hayami Ryoko (Yamashita), a police officer from the Supplies Division who excels in deductive reasoning and observation.
