Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on January 15th, will air a special memorial program in memory of screenwriter Makiko Uchida, who passed away last year.
Uchidate passed away on December 17th of last year from acute left heart failure. She was 77 years old. Her work includes the NHK Asadora drama "Hilari" which aired in the latter half of 1992, and the NHK historical drama "Mōri Motonari" (1997). In 2000, she became the first woman to serve as a Yokozuna Deliberation Committee member.
