A newly drawn cover illustration by Madhouse, the studio behind the anime, has been released. Frieren and Himmel show off sophisticated monochrome outfits, exuding a sophisticated feel that makes them seem like they are in the modern day. The outfits are coordinated with a sense of connection, including matching sneakers and the blue moon grass, which has an important meaning in the story.

Freiren is a magician in the hero's party who defeated the Demon King. Being an elf, Frieren lives a long life. After experiencing the death of a companion, she embarks on a journey to "discover people." The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Furaani)" from September 2023 to March 2024. The second season will air in the same slot every Friday at 11:00 PM starting January 16th.
