Actor Shinya Kote attended the production announcement for Fuji TV's Thursday Theatre "Professional Insurance Investigator, Amane Ren" (Thursdays at 10pm, starting January 8th) held in Tokyo on January 7th. He revealed the existence of a "rival."
The drama is set at Miyama Research, an insurance investigation company that investigates cases and accidents involving insurance money. The main character, Amane Ren, played by Tamaki, works with his unique colleagues to investigate suspected insurance fraud cases brought to a foreign insurance company that handles all types of insurance, sometimes deceiving his allies to uncover the truth, and sometimes empathizing with the victims and bringing them relief... This is the story.
In reference to the content of the drama, when the topic turned to "something so important that you would want to take out insurance," Kote answered "your voice." She exuded confidence, saying, "Many people compliment me on my voice. They say I have a great voice."
Kote revealed that while filming for this drama was taking place in the studio next door, filming was also taking place for the TV drama series "Ramune Monkey" (Wednesdays at 10pm, starting January 8th), co-starring Sorimachi Takashi, Nao Omori , and Tsuda Kenjiro. He declared, "(My co-star Okazaki Sae) would tell me things like, 'I'm a big fan of Tsuda-san,' so I thought I couldn't lose, and I treated her as a rival. I had to set my goals high."
However, he laughed and said, "(Tsuda) not only has a great voice, but he also has a great face. There's no way I can win. I guess I'll just have to get through it with my charm."
