The 68th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi , was broadcast on January 7th, and Sannojo , played by Rihito Itagaki , made his first appearance in a long time, attracting the attention of viewers.
Toki (Takaishi) finally tells her family that she is marrying Heaven ( Tommy Bastow). Toki is prepared for strong opposition from Kan'emon (Fumiyo Kohinata), who hates foreigners, but surprisingly, he accepts the marriage, saying, "If you like me, then I have no choice." When Toki reports that he has received his family's approval, Heaven embraces him and exclaims with delight, "Let's party!"
Later, when Toki is telling Nishikori (Ryo Yoshizawa Ryo) that she did not receive her 20 yen salary from Heaven, Sannojo comes in. Toki had been supporting Sannojo and his mother Tae (Keiko Kitagawa) with 10 yen a month from her 20 yen salary as a maid at Heaven, but it appears that Sannojo has come to collect the money.
Toki explains the situation to Sannojo, "I'm no longer receiving my salary," and "The truth is... Heaven and I are going to be together." As Sannojo is surprised and asks, "What? A married couple?", Heaven comes back out of the bath.
When Heaven asked, "Huh? Who is it?", Toki introduced him as "Sannojo." When Heaven asked again, "Sannojo-sama, who is it?", Toki replied, "Sannojo is... Sannojo-sama." Heaven became annoyed and raised her voice, "An old man?!" "A futon?! A pillow?!"
When Toki asked Sannojo to go home, Sannojo replied, "Don't say anything to mother. I'll do something...I'll do something!" and ran away from the furious Heaven.
This is Sannojo's first appearance in about a month since episode 47 (broadcast on December 2nd). Sannojo lied to Tae and told her he had become the company president, and was living off Toki's support. Unable to find work, he was shown stacking stones in the temple grounds from morning till night.
On social media, people were saying things like, "Sannojo still isn't working after all," "If he's brave enough to come and ask for money, he can work," "Is he still unemployed? What do he do on a daily basis?", "I wonder if he's still laying stones...," "Please get a job!" and "It's not like he'll 'do something' lol."
