The 67th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi, was broadcast on January 6th. In this episode, viewers were drawn to the "20 yen monthly salary problem" that weighs on Toki (played by Takaishi).
In episode 67, Toki is engaged to Haven ( Tommy Bastow), but he notices a big problem. Even though he has been allowed to work as a maid, it is not easy to tell his family that he is marrying Haven... As Toki worries about when to bring it up, he notices an even more serious problem, making it even more difficult to tell them.
The "enormous problem" is her monthly salary of 20 yen. Toki works as a maid at Heaven to pay off the Matsuno family's debts. She also gives half of her salary, 10 yen, to Sannojo(Rihito Itagaki ), supporting him and her mother, Sannojo ( Keiko Kitagawa ).
Realizing that his income would cease if he became his wife, Toki asks Fumi ( Chizuru Ikewaki), "Has your mother ever received any money from your father?", which causes her family to wonder.
At night, while Heaven is writing, Toki tries to sneak back home. Heaven asks Toki, "Still... not saying it? Family..." and "Why can't you say it? No, I can't? No, Heaven?", growing increasingly annoyed and telling him, "Do whatever you want."
The next morning, Heaven went to work with Nishikori (Ryo Yoshizawa Ryo) without saying "I'm off" to Toki. The episode ended with Toki running back to the Matsuno house and declaring, "I'll tell you!"
On social media, people were saying things like, "It's hard to bring up such a serious problem," "I'm worried about how she's going to bring it up with the Matsuno family...," "Her motivation for becoming a maid was to support two families...," "It's not just her family's debts, but it's depressing to think that she also has to support Sannojo," "There's also the Ushimizu family problem," "Oh, what's going to happen tomorrow?" and "Turmoil is just around the corner!"
