The first volume of the manga "Samuwanherutsu" by Yamanoei, which is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), was released on January 5th. The "youthful radio love comedy" began serialization in September 2025, and tells the story of a serious high school boy, Fukuromori Mimei, who gradually grows closer to his laid-back classmate, Mizuo Kurage, through their shared hobby of late-night radio. The series has been garnering attention for its comfortable depiction of the two characters' boke (funny jokes) and tsukkomi (comedian responses), and their laid-back daily lives.
To commemorate the release of the first volume, a collaboration with Nippon Broadcasting System's popular late-night radio program, "All Night Nippon," was also announced. The combined 6th and 7th issues of "Weekly Shonen Jump," released on January 5th, featured a color illustration of a photo of the manga artist in front of a microphone, featuring the "All Night Nippon" logo.
The YouTube channel "Samuwanherutsu Lofi Radio" has been launched, which will live-stream videos 24 hours a day for studying, playing games, relaxing, and more. Every Monday late at night, when the late-night radio show "Monday Midnight Talking" is broadcast, Mimei and Kurage post funny emails as listeners, a conversation between Mimei and Kurage will be posted in the chat section.
