The 65th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi, was broadcast on December 26th. In this episode, viewers were drawn to Ginjiro ( Kanichiro), who stepped aside in the hopes of Toki (Takaishi)'s happiness.
In episode 65, Toki receives a marriage proposal from Ginjiro on the way back from Gesshoji Temple. Meanwhile, Haven (Tommy Bastow) is invited by Eliza (Charlotte Kate Fox) to leave Japan and write a travelogue together abroad.
When Toki drops Ginjiro off at the Hanada Inn, Eliza and Heaven return. After leaving the inn, Toki realizes his love for Heaven and sheds tears on the bridge. Ginjiro watches Toki from the inn window. Eliza, who is staying in the next room, comes in and speaks to Ginjiro in English, saying, "You and I are the same..." Although Ginjiro does not understand English, he senses Eliza's feelings and answers, "Yes..."
Later, Ginjiro visits the Matsuno family and bows, saying, "I'm sorry. I'll give up." Ginjiro says, "I... love Otoki-chan. I've always loved her... and I adore her. But... I want her to be happy! But... I'll give up."
Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe) raised his voice, "What's that?! That's crazy!", and Fumi (Chizuru Ikewaki) also said angrily, "That's right!" Kan'emon declared, "I won't let you get away anymore!"
Ginjiro then called out, "Otoki-chan..." and said, "Someday...come to Tokyo to listen to some ghost stories. It doesn't have to be with me...it's fine with that person..."
On social media, people were saying things like, "Ginjiro... he's too cool," "It's so Ginjiro-like to have the integrity to step aside because he loves her so much," "Ginjiro came to the Matsuno family to properly apologize...," "When I think of Ginjiro working hard to turn the regret of that day into the strength to become the person he is to meet," "Ginjiro is the epitome of kindness, so I hope he finds happiness," and "His score as a rival male character in a Asadora is too high!!!"
