It was revealed on December 20th that a second season of the TV anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS," based on the popular manga by Suzuki Yuto currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will be produced. A visual announcing the second season's production was released, depicting Sakamoto during his time at the JCC (Assassin Training Center). A super teaser trailer was also released, depicting scenes of Sakamoto infiltrating the JCC disguised as a student teacher and causing mayhem.
In the second season, Sakamoto and his friends learn that the identity of × (Slur), who the special forces ORDER are also pursuing, is Arizuki, a classmate from their JCC days, and they decide to infiltrate JCC in search of clues.
The story is about Taro Sakamoto, a former legendary hitman who runs a shop after retiring, who fights against approaching assassins with his friends to protect the peaceful daily life he lives with his beloved family. The film is gaining popularity for its spectacular battle scenes featuring unique characters.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March, and the second season from July to September. There is also buzz surrounding the release of a live-action film starring Ren Meguro of the popular group Snow Man during Golden Week in 2026.
