A teaser video for the new "REBOOT Project" for the anime "World Trigger," based on Daisuke Ashihara's popular manga, has been released. The project will be a "completely new" anime adaptation starting from the first episode of the original manga. The released video begins with Osamu saying, "Please join Tamakoma Second," and goes back through the story, including "The start of the B-rank battle," "The large-scale invasion," "Joining Border," "The battle for the Black Trigger," and "The encounter." It concludes with Jin's iconic line to Osamu, "Hey, are you okay, Glasses-kun?"
The "REBOOT Project" will feature the Border Enlistment Arc, the Neighbors' Large-Scale Invasion Arc, and the B-Rank Battle Beginning Arc. Like the second and third seasons, it will be produced by Toei Animation and released as "World Trigger 1st Season."
It was also announced that an event for the series, "World Trigger Festival 2026," will be held at Kanadevia Hall (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) on April 26, 2026.
"World Trigger" began serialization in February 2013 in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). It depicts the battle between the Neighbors, who come from another dimension to invade "this world," and the defense organization Border. It is currently being serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha).
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2014 to April 2016, the second season from January to April 2021, and the third season from October 2021 to January 2022.
