A talk show to thank fans for the huge success of the Abema original drama "Scandal Eve," starring Ko Shibasaki, was held at Lawson United Cinema Minato Mirai (Nishi Ward, Yokohama) on December 16th, with Shibasaki and main cast members Kawaguchi Haruna, Honami Suzuki, and Mizuki Kayashima taking to the stage. With Christmas approaching, the four appeared in dressy attire and received thunderous applause from the audience.
The four talked about the appeal of "Scandal Eve" and the showbiz-themed theme of the show. As it's the end of the year, they were asked, "If you could express 2025 in one kanji character?" Shibasaki answered "intense" and Kawaguchi answered "strong."
Shibasaki said, "I think it was a year in which I had a lot of stimulating encounters. I'm not the type to make many friends, but this year I made more. I think it was a year in which I was aggressive and sought out excitement. I think it was a year in which I was quite sociable and open (about my feelings)."
Kawaguchi commented, "It was a very intense year. The role I was given this time was one that I have not tried much before, so it was a challenging year." She turned 30 this year, and reflected, "It was a very intense year that made me realize, for better or worse, how intense the start of your 30s can be."
"Scandal Eve" is a suspense drama that depicts the battle between an entertainment agency and a weekly magazine over an entertainment scandal. It consists of six episodes, with the fifth episode being released on the 17th at 10 PM.
