Female professional wrestler Saya Kamitani, known as the "Reiwa Evil Queen," won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the Pro Wrestling Grand Prix supported by Nitan Clinic for the first time. This marks the first time a female wrestler has won the award in the award's 52-year history. Kamitani also won the Women's Pro Wrestling Grand Prix.
Kamitani is 29 years old and was born on November 28, 1996 in Kanagawa Prefecture. She is the 20th and current World of Stardom and 6th and current STRONG Women's Double Champion. After working as a support dancer for EXILE and as a part-time AKB member, she made her professional wrestling debut in 2019. She attracted attention with her outstanding athletic ability and was named Rookie of the Year in 2019.
She joined "HATE" at the Sapporo tournament on July 28, 2024. In the same year, she was crowned the World of Stardom Champion by her mentor, Tam Nakano. She has also been active in variety shows, such as being a regular on the TBS morning live show "Love it!"

Well, that's only natural, considering it's Saya-sama! Starting with winning the World of Stardom Championship at Ryogoku Kokugikan at the end of last year, she had a loser's retirement match at Yokohama Arena in April, and in September, the first women's professional wrestling event in 23 years was broadcast live on terrestrial television. Saya-sama's goal for this year was to "let people who haven't seen it yet get to know about women's professional wrestling," so she has appeared in various media outlets, creating excitement both inside and outside the ring. I think she has completely changed the image of women's professional wrestling from its heyday.
For the past year, I've been thinking about nothing but pro wrestling every day, and honestly, it's been driving me crazy. But now that it's taking shape like this, I'm so glad that I never ran away no matter what happened, and that I kept facing myself to the fullest, and I'm so happy!
