The TBS drama " Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It " (Tuesdays at 10 PM) will air its final episode on December Getsuku . Filming has wrapped up after about four months, and photos and comments from the 10 main cast members, including Kaho, who plays Yamagishi Ayumi, and Takeuchi Ryoma, who plays Ebihara Katsuo, have been released.
After the co-stars, Kaho and Takeuchi, finished filming their final scene, they looked relieved and satisfied with the sense of accomplishment as the staff shouted "all done!"
Kaho said, "It was hectic until the very end, and I wondered if it would really end, but I was very happy to have been given such an important role in a TV drama series and to be able to create it with such strong people," and though she was occasionally moved to tears, she ended with a smile. Takeuchi, who had already finished filming, made a surprise appearance via video call and witnessed Kaho's completion.
Takeuchi commented, echoing Katsuo's famous line, "We worked seriously on creating the film, and everyone told us it was really interesting, so it reaffirmed to me that there were good things going on. I don't have anything else to say, but...if I had to say, maybe the schedule was a little too tight (laughs). But I think we've become a really great, amazing team."
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Natsuko Taniguchi, which is currently being serialized in the digital comic magazine "Comic Tanto" (Bunkasha). It is a romantic comedy about a girlfriend (Kaho) who has lost herself in putting her lover first, and her boyfriend (Takeuchi), who has a patriarchal mentality and believes that women should cook, and how they rekindle their relationship after a breakup. The script was written by Kei Ando, head of the Ampersand Theatre Company, who won the Kishida Kunio Drama Award for "Even if you don't walk, you'll hit a stick."
In episode 9 (broadcast on December 2nd), Ayumi and Katsuo open up to each other, and the series ends with Katsuo confessing to Ayumi, "Let's start again, guys." In the final episode, Katsuo returns to work after his suspension is over, but is met with cold stares, while Ayumi begins to work towards opening her own restaurant. Meanwhile, a major shakeup occurs in their relationship... and so the story unfolds.
