Kia Asamiya, a manga artist known for works such as "Silent Mobius" and "The Great Steam Detectives," has announced his new work, "Silent Mobius X (Cross) Avengers." The crossover comic between "Silent Mobius" and "The Avengers" will begin serialization in Marvel in 2026. It is scheduled to run for a total of six issues.
Marvel's editor-in-chief, CB Cebulski, and Asamiya have been close friends for 30 years, and Asamiya began working on American comics in 1999. 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of his debut as a manga artist, and he received a direct offer from Marvel to draw a new work. Asamiya has announced his retirement from American comic work other than illustration, and the new work will be his final one.
An image illustration of the main characters gathered together and character sketches of Kazumi Liqueur from "Silent Mobius" and Captain America from "The Avengers" were also released.
