The 46th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi , was broadcast on December 1st, and viewers were captivated by the performance of Wan Marui, who plays Sawa.
In episode 46, winter arrives in Matsue. Toki (Takaishi) keeps Heaven (Tommy Bastow) warm as he shivers in the cold of Matsue for the first time. Meanwhile, Kotani (Shimokawa Kyohei), a student at Matsue Middle School, arrives to return something Heaven forgot. While waiting for Heaven, who has gone to take a bath because of the cold, Toki and Kotani deepen their friendship. It seems that Kotani's purpose in coming here was to talk to Toki.
A few days later, Sawa spots Kotani wandering around in front of Toki's house. When Kotani introduces himself as "Haruo Kotani," Sawa asks, "Are you born in the spring?" Kotani replies, "Sorry, I was born in the fall."
When Kotani finds out that Sawa is Toki's childhood friend, she asks him to tell her what Toki likes. Sawa replies, "Ghost stories. The ones that go down, not up... Just kidding! Not that kind. The ones with ghosts," to which Kotani responds, "Right now, I don't like (ghost stories), but I don't know them well enough to say I hate them..."
Sawa then asked, "This may be a rude question, but... do you like him? What do you like about him?" to which Kotani replied, "Well, it's... his face." Sawa replied, "I just like his face, you know, middle schoolers. I don't know." Sawa then urged Kotani on, saying, "I'm rooting for you. If anything happens, ask me again," and gave him a chuckle.
Later, Sawa bumps into Toki as he leaves the house to go to work. Toki says, "What's going on? There was some commotion," to which Sawa replies, "To put it simply...I guess you're saying that Haruo was born in autumn too?", before laughing meaningfully, "Hehehe..."
Marui-san's comical acting as Sawa attracted attention, and "Sawa-chan" briefly trended on X.
