It has been revealed that actor Akita Komakine will be appearing in "Kaedama Bravo!", starring Kana Kita, which will be broadcast on NHK's "Yorudama" time slot (General TV, Monday to Thursday, 10:45 pm) from January 5, 2026. Komakine, an actor known for his roles in the Super Sentai series "Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger" (2021-2022), will play Mitsuo Iwabuchi, the boyfriend of the main character Karina Senbon (Kita).
Komakine commented, "I believe that in life we meet many people, become friends with many people, and find people we can call best friends. But relationships can fall apart over the smallest of events, and our values can change depending on our environment; human relationships are more complicated and difficult than we think. It will make you chuckle, and sometimes even bring you to tears. It's such a lovely story."
"Kaedama Bravo!" is an original work by playwright and director Ayuka Kishimoto, who also appeared as an actor in the same network's drama "Hitori de Shinitai." It is a slightly dark comedy for adults that combines friendship, ramen, and classical ballet. Amano Hana plays Karina's best friend, Niki Yumi.
Also announced to appear in the film are Aoi Yo as Yumi's ballet partner, Yashiro Manabu, Kintaro as the mysterious fortune teller, and Nozoe Yoshihiro as Matilda, the owner of the ramen shop "Tameguchi."
The drama's music will be handled by Naoyuki Chikatani. The musician has worked on NHK's "100 Cameras," the film "Ya Boy Kongming! THE MOVIE," the dramas "Tokyo Tower" and "Kinshicho Paradise: One Street from Shibuya," and he revealed, "The meeting started with, 'What's your favorite ramen?' I was told to feel free to choose, and it was a really fun time creating the music."
