A commemorative illustration for "EVANGELION: 30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION (Eva Fest)," an event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the popular anime series "Evangelion," was released on November 28th. The illustration was created by Shuichi Iseki, animation director for "Evangelion : 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," and features Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley Shikinami, Mari Illustrious Makinami, and Kaworu Nagisa wearing festival T-shirts. The festival T-shirts worn by the characters will be sold in the merchandise area at the venue and on the online store. Official festival merchandise using the illustration will also be released.
The Eva Fest will be held at Yokohama Arena (Kohoku Ward, Yokohama) from February 21st to 23rd, 2026. This will be the first major three-day festival in the series, and creators from Studio Khara will be in charge of overall direction. The venue will be divided into an exhibition area called "EVA EXTRA 30" and a "STAGE AREA" where stage events will be held, and plans will be developed to express the "past" and "future" of "Evangelion."
In addition to an opening event featuring voice actors, the show will also feature the debut of "Kabuki Symphony No. 1 Evangelion ," the first collaboration between the " Evangelion " series and the traditional performing art of Kabuki. A world premiere of a "special video (tentative title)" will be screened in the stage area each day.
The " Evangelion" series began airing on October 4, 1995 with the TV anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion," and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025.
