Beijing-born cooking expert Wu Wen will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will air at 1:00 pm on November 28. Wu introduces simple and delicious Chinese home cooking to Japan.
Born in Beijing, she met a Japanese man through work after graduating from university and came to Japan. At the time of her marriage, she couldn't cook at all. She would remember the dishes her mother made for her in China and treat them to her husband's friends, who encouraged her to write a book, and so she decided to pursue a career in cooking.
Her Japanese husband passed away 20 years ago, leaving behind two children. Raising her children alone led her to develop a knack for simple home-cooked meals. Here are some easy Chinese recipes that can be made even when you're busy.
