The ninth episode of the Fuji TV drama series "If This World Were a Stage, Where Would the Dressing Room Be?" (Wednesdays at 10pm), written by Koki Mitani and starring actor Masaki Suda, aired on November 26th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 2.8% for households and 1.6% for individuals.
The drama is a youth ensemble drama set in Shibuya in 1984. Suda plays Kube Mitsunari, a theater company director who dreams of success, alongside Nikaido Fumi as the mysterious dancer Koda Rika, Kamiki Ryunosuke as Ryunosuke Kamiki Shogo, a newcomer TV writer inspired by the "young Mitani", and Hamabe Minami as Egashira Juri, a shrine maiden at Happun Shrine, a quiet shrine nestled in Shibuya.
Episode 9 was titled "Where's Tony?"
Rika (Nikaido) begins to be drawn to Hisabe (Suda) after seeing his brave side after he kicked out her ex-lover Toro (Ikuta Toma). As the atmosphere becomes more intimate, Hisabe reveals his intention to stage "Hamlet" once the theater is up and running. He says he will play Hamlet himself, and wants Rika to play his lover, Ophelia. Meanwhile, Juri (Hamabe Minami) can't help but wonder about Hisabe and Rika's relationship... and so the story unfolds.
