The eighth episode of the drama series "ESCAPE: It Was Supposed to Be a Kidnapping" (Nippon TV, Wednesdays at 10pm), starring actors Sakurada Hiyori and Hayato Sano, was broadcast on November 26th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 4.2% for households and 2.4% for individuals.
The drama is a human suspense story depicting the strange getaway of a company president's daughter (Sakurada) and her kidnapper (Sano), and this will be the first time that both Sakurada and Sano will star in a drama that will be aired during the golden prime time slot on a major commercial broadcasting station.
Episode 8 was titled "Terrifying! The Truth of Their Birth and the Cursed Family's Past!" Yui (Sakurada) and Daisuke (Sano) each decide to look forward and take a step forward. However, the truth of Yui's birth is suddenly revealed when a weekly magazine reporter, Shiraki Kota (Yamaguchi Makiya), appears. Upon learning this shocking truth, Yui is overcome with despair and falls into a panic. The two decide to look forward, but the vortex of fate and destiny inevitably engulfs them... and so the story unfolds.
