Additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime series " A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, " based on a popular light novel published on the novel submission site " Shosetsuka ni Naro ," including Toriumi Kosuke, Hiroki Yasumoto, and Hamada Kenji. Toriumi will play Ray, a middle-aged nobleman who is sociable and can talk to anyone easily and does not often use his power as an excuse; Yasumoto will play Shadow, the lord of the commercial city of Marcade, but who hides his identity from the people and is virtually unknown within the territory; and Hamada will play Insai, Judge's grandfather who runs a trading business based in the commercial city of Marcade.
Toriumi commented, "As the title of the work suggests, the overall impression is of a peaceful time and atmosphere. I think this character is able to change the atmosphere a little in that peaceful setting, so I would like to keep that in mind when playing the role."
Yasumoto said, "The character I play...how can I put it, he seems difficult to understand, but I think he's actually a fairly honest person. And I'm sure he's someone who is constantly worried (laughs). Since this is a fun play with dialogue, I hope you'll look forward to the conversations with everyone."
Hamada commented, "I played Insai, Judge's grandfather. He's a lively old man who is bold but a little pushy, which is his only flaw. He's also a doting grandfather who loves his grandchildren. But he also has a clever side, as he tries to calmly assess situations. I hope to be able to portray the many different sides of him, such as the friendliness and cheerfulness that are unique to a businessman, as well as his intelligence."
The story is about a young man named Lizel, who was famous as the prime minister of a certain great country, who is transported to another world and becomes his partner, a high-ranking adventurer named Jill who does not flatter or obey anyone, and he becomes an adventurer himself and enjoys life in another world to the fullest... The light novel and manga have been published by TO Books, and the total number of copies of the series has exceeded 2 million.
The anime will star Soma Saito as ReZEL and Yuichiro Umehara as Jill. It will be directed by Kenta Noda and produced by SynergySP. It will begin airing in January 2026.
