TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appearing! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturdays at 9 p.m.) will feature Ito Onsen (Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture) on its November 22nd broadcast.
Ito Onsen can be reached from Tokyo in about 90 minutes by express train. This hot spring resort boasts an abundance of hot spring water, where you can enjoy the seafood of the Sagami Sea, open-air baths, and diving. The program features all 10 public baths with unlimited hot spring access, an inn that specializes in golden-eyed snapper, a roadside station where you can enjoy natural hot springs and heaping portions of pickled fish bowls, and a long-established hotel with a nostalgic Showa-era feel that has been featured in TV commercials.
We will also introduce a ramen cafe with a view of the sea, a "Showa-era coffee shop" popular for its homemade soft serve ice cream, the famous "Hole-in" sweet made from egg yolk boiled in hot springs wrapped in sweet bean paste, and dried horse mackerel flavored with basil oil.
The guests are actors Takashi Naito and Hinako Sakurai.
