Actor and former member of the idol group "ANGERME", Meimi Tamura, will appear on the music program "Classic TV", which will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV from 9pm on November 20th. The subtitle of the program is "Highly Recommended! Get hooked on the world of Toru Takemitsu!". Guest Tamura will perform the classic song "Chiisana Sora" in the studio.
Tamura said, "After experiencing Toru Takemitsu's music and his life, I strongly felt that the feeling of love is stronger than anything else, and it made me feel more motivated.When I sang 'Chiisana Sora' after hearing about Takemitsu's life, I sang with more desire than usual to deliver Takemitsu's lyrics and music in a pure way."
The program will feature Toru Takemitsu, one of Japan's leading composers. MC Shinya Kiyozuka will delve into the incredible breadth of his work, which spans not only classical music but also theater music, pop music, and even gagaku music, as well as the unique sound that has earned him worldwide acclaim.
