It was announced on November 15th that actor Shida Kohaku will be playing Gojuu Unicorn/Ichikawa Sumino in TV Asahi's Super Sentai series " Sumino Ichikawa No.1 Sentai Gozyuger ." The role was previously played by Maya Imamori, but her departure was announced on November 8th. Shida will replace Imamori and will appear in episode 40, which will air on November 30th.
Shida is 21 years old and was born on May 25, 2004, in Saitama Prefecture. She played the heroine Onisister/Kitou Haruka in the Super Sentai series "Boutarou Sentai Don Brothers," which aired from 2022 to 2023. She has also appeared in many other works, including the TV Asahi drama "Densetsu no Atama Sho" (2024) and the Nippon Television drama "The Reluctant Preacher" (2025).
The role will be played by Sumino Ichikawa, a cool but cunning detective who also uses her charm as a weapon when necessary. Gojuu Unicorn will be the first female "black warrior" in the Super Sentai series.
"No.1 Sentai Gozyuger" is a story about five heroes with animal and dinosaur motifs who compete for the "Sentai Ring," a ring that is said to grant any wish, and who battle against the "Number One Monster" who has reached the top of all fields, rivals who possess the power of all the previous Reds, and even other Gojugers in their quest for the "Sentai Ring," a ring that is said to grant any wish.
