A stage greeting to celebrate the release of the second chapter of the animated film " Love Live! Love Live! High School Idol Club: Final Chapter," based on the popular anime series " Love Live! " was held at Marunouchi Piccadilly (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) on Getsuku, with the 12 stellar cast members appearing. They spoke about their favorite parts of the second chapter, such as the live performance scenes.
The cast members who appeared on stage to greet the audience were Yano Hinaki as Takasaki Yuu, Onishi Aguri as Uehara Ayumu, Sagara Mayu as Nakasu Kasumi, Maeda Kaori as Sakurazaka Kaori Maeda, Kubota Miyu as Asaka Karin, Akari Kito as Miyashita Ai, Maria Sashide as Omi Kanata, Sashide Maria as Emma Verde, Tanaka Chiemi as Tennoji Rina, Koizumi Moeka as Mifune Shioriko, Uchida Shu as Mia Taylor, and Norimoto Akina as Kane Ranju.
Koizumi, who played Mifune Shioriko and was the first to perform at the Chapter 2 live concert, said, "It was a surprise to see her as the first to perform. I'm sure everyone thought, 'I can't believe she'd say something like that...' and it was a very impressive performance. I think we were able to show another new growth."
Uchida said, "It was a performance after Mia realized her true feelings, and the costume was really cool. It was a refreshing song, and the stage itself was cute." Tanaka said, "There are so many things to like, it's hard to choose. The first thing I like about it is that it conveys how much fun it is. Another thing I like is when he puts his hand on Mia's at the end. I wonder what he would do if he were to perform that at a live show? It got me imagining."
When Kito said about Mia and Rina, "They were already married," Tanaka smiled and said, "I thought that was so precious!"
Murakami seemed moved, saying, "Ai and Settsu (Yuki Setsuna) think of each other as heroes and admire each other. They confess what they've always thought. The song was born from the same feelings, so even though it's a solo song, it feels like they're singing it together. It's like they want to exchange songs with each other, and they're linked. There's even a chorus, so it's a song that shows they feel for each other."
Kubota said, "We delve deep into what it means to be a school idol, but the cute side of them also shines through. It's a great balance."
4DX and MX4D versions were also shown, and Tanaka commented, "I enjoyed it in 4DX. The sense of immersion in the live performance was amazing! It felt like I was in that world," while Sashide said, "The vibration and light effects were amazing!"
Hayashi Koko, who plays Yuki Setsuna, was unable to attend the stage greeting, but Koizumi conveyed the message she had received from Hayashi, saying, "Thank you very much! Peace!"
During the stage greeting, it was also announced that the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club's 8th Live will be held at Osaka Castle Hall (Chuo-ku, Osaka) on June 6th and 7th, and at Keio Arena Tokyo (Chofu, Tokyo) on June 13th and 14th.
Nijigasaki High School Idol Club began activities in 2017, following in the footsteps of Love Live!'s μ's and Love Live! Sunshine!!'s Aqours. The story follows the members of the School Idol Club at Nijigasaki High School, a private high school in Odaiba, Tokyo, as they aim to become the number one school idol, sometimes as rivals and sometimes as friends.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October to December 2020, and the second season aired from April to June 2022. A new episode, the original video animation (OVA), "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club NEXT SKY," was released in theaters in June 2023. The first chapter of the "Final Chapter" was released on September 6, 2024.
