TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appearing! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturdays at 9pm) will feature Kuramae (Taito Ward, Tokyo) on its November 8th broadcast.
Kuramae was once known as a town of artisans. Recently, old buildings have been renovated to transform it into a fashionable town, earning it the nickname "Brooklyn of Tokyo." It is also a hotbed of cafes. The program features a stamp rally using a walking map, artisanal techniques! Edo joinery that doesn't use nails, Western umbrellas carried on by young artisans, and remnants of the toy town! It also introduces the town's specialties and famous products, such as a giant robot on the wall of a hotel.
There will also be Edomae Tendon (tempura bowl) for under 1000 yen, the three main ramen dishes of back fat chacha, duck and shellfish salt, a new style, a coffee course experience by reservation only, and a cafe where you can write a letter to yourself one year from now!
The guests are talent and novelist Ito Seikou and model and talent Ichikawa Saya.
