It has been announced that "Oshiri Dandy The Young," a spin-off manga of Troll's popular picture book "Oshiri Tantei" (Butt Detective), will be adapted into an anime. The manga is currently serialized in the manga magazine "Saikyo Jump" (Shueisha) and depicts the younger days of Oshiri Dandy, the adventurer and father of Oshiri Tantei Tantei, when he was a rookie investigator. "Oshiri Dandy The Young" will be adapted into a new anime series of "Oshiri Tantei" and will begin airing in April 2026. The announcement was made on November 4th, "Good Butt Day (1104)."
A visual was also released showing the young adventurer Oshiri Dandy and his partner Hei-Hei navigating a rough river on a raft. The image also depicts the present-day Oshiri Dandy reminiscing about his younger days and telling them to Oshiri Tantei and Brown.
"Oshiri Tantei" (Butt Detective) is based on a popular picture book series that has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The famous detective Oshiri Tantei, whose face resembles a butt, solves difficult cases with his catchphrase, "Hmm, I smell something." It airs every Saturday at 9:00 AM on NHK E Tele.
