It has been announced that all 193 episodes of Osamu Tezuka's classic "Astro Boy," a TV anime series that aired in the 1960s, will be streamed on TVer. This will be the first time the series has been streamed on TVer, and it will be streamed in the same format as when it was first broadcast in the 1960s. The series will be broadcast on TV Saitama every Saturday at 6:30 pm starting November 1st, and will be available on TVer after the broadcast ends. All 193 episodes will be streamed over a period of approximately four years.
"Astro Boy" was serialized in the monthly magazine "Shonen" (Kobunsha) from 1952 to 1968. The first series was broadcast on Fuji TV from 1963 to 1966 as Japan's first long-running TV anime series.
