The fifth episode of the sixth series of the TV anime "Kingdom," based on the popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara, titled "The Siege of Reio," will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 12:10 a.m. on November 1st.
The attack on Reo Castle by the mountain militia led by Yang Duanhe and the Hi Shin Unit has begun. Queen Yang Duanhe's call to arms signals the mountain militia's brave and courageous attack. While Shin and the others are stunned by the sheer ferocity of the attack, Yang Duanhe finds an opening in the city walls and requests support from the Hi Shin Unit for a skilled archer to assist her in sending in her strongest warrior, Bajio. Captain Shin entrusts this task to the Ao brothers, Jin and Awa, who are new and excellent archers.
"Kingdom" is a popular manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) since 2006. Set in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period of China, it depicts the exploits of Shin, who aims to become the greatest general in the world, and the drama of heroes such as King Ei Sei of Qin, who later becomes known as the First Emperor. The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 110 million. The sixth series of the TV anime is broadcast every Saturday night on NHK General TV.
