It has been announced that a second season of the TV anime "Dark Gathering," based on the horror manga by Kondo Kenichi currently serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha), will be produced. The second season will be set in Kyoto, where even more vicious vengeful spirits appear. A teaser visual has been released depicting Takarazuki Yoyoi looking down on evil spirits. Following the first season, the series will be directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, known for "Kiratto Pri☆Chan," and the anime will be produced by OLM, known for the "Yo-kai Watch" series.

"Dark Gathering" has been serialized in "Jump SQ." since 2019. Gentouga Hotaru, who has become a recluse due to his ability to be a medium that attracts spirits, meets Takarazuki Yoyoi, a girl with mysterious eyes who is also a medium, and they decide to work together to achieve their mutual goals.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to December 2023.
