It was announced on October 24th that the first arcade game based on the popular anime "Sazae-san," "Sazae-san Machigai Sagashi" (Konami Arcade Games), will be released in spring 2026. Players can enjoy spot-the-difference games set in the world of "Sazae-san" using touch panel controls.
All of the questions in the game are taken from the actual anime broadcast, and the difficulty level can be selected from three levels: "easy," "normal," and "difficult." There are three modes: "Normal Mode," which can be enjoyed by one or more people; "Versus Mode," where two people compete to find the difference in speed; and "Challenge Mode," where players clear stages.
"Sazae-san Spot the Difference" will be appearing at the Konami Arcade Games booth at "AMUSEMENT EXPO 2025," which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) on November 14th and 15th. Those who try out the game will receive a free "Sazae-san Spot the Difference" original sticker, which allows you to enjoy spotting the differences that appear during actual gameplay. The sticker will only be distributed on November 15th.
"Sazae-san" is based on a manga by Machiko Hasegawa. The original work was serialized in the Asahi Shimbun morning edition from 1951 until 1974, after being published in the Fukunichi Yukan, Shin Yukan, and Asahi Yukan from 1946. The TV anime began airing in 1969. October 2024 will mark the 55th anniversary of the series' broadcast, breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest-running TV anime program.
