The second episode of the drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring actors Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko, aired on October 18th. The episode revealed the bullying that Takagi's (Mamiya) elementary school classmate, Nakajima Emi (Matsui Rena), also known as "Nico-chan," had previously inflicted on Sonoko (Araki), sparking a stir on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers.
In the second episode, Takagi is embroiled in a serial murder case targeting six people who are hated by his former classmate Sonoko. He teams up with Sonoko to uncover the truth behind the murders. The victims, Takeda (Mizukawa Katamari) and Sakurai (Kudo Asuka), were attacked in a manner that resembled a "picture of their future dreams" that they had drawn 22 years ago. Takagi is horrified by Sonoko's words, "Someone in this class hates you. Someone other than me."
Takagi and Sonoko contact one of the six, Emi (Matsui), to warn them of the danger. Emi's dream is to become an idol, and she has been drawing pictures of herself in the spotlight. When they meet again, Emi, who works as a hostess in Roppongi, Tokyo, apologizes, saying, "I remember when I was in elementary school, I was mean to you, Sono-chan."
Afterwards, the details of the bullying that Sonoko had suffered at the hands of Emi were revealed. When Sonoko was in elementary school, she happily mentioned that her stuffed animal keychain matched Emi's, to which Emi responded, "Sorry, Sono-chan... that's my character. So maybe it would be better if you took it off."
Furthermore, when it was pointed out that she had hidden Sonoko's keychain in her own desk, Emi blamed Sonoko for looking at her desk without permission and showed her fabricated evidence that the keychain was hers. After that, Emi secretly threw away Sonoko's keychain and, with the help of Takagi and other classmates, began to bully Sonoko.
On social media, the past feud between the two was revealed, and comments such as "Nico-chan is such a pain," "I can't stand Nico-chan...," "What a nasty woman," "Nico-chan is scary," "What a disgusting woman," "Too evil," and "Is Nico-chan the source of all this bullying?" appeared, attracting a lot of attention.
