It has been announced that the TV anime "Tune In to the Midnight Heart," based on the romantic comedy manga by Igarashi Masakuni currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will be broadcast on the new anime time slot "Kaanibal!!" on Kansai TV and Fuji TV at 11pm on Tuesdays starting January 6, 2026.
It was also announced that popular VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei will perform the opening theme "Shoot towards the Moon," and charismatic gal singer Soala will perform the ending theme "Voice of the Trail."
The second promotional video has also been released, featuring key visuals featuring aspiring singer Rikka holding a guitar, aspiring voice actress Nene practicing with an audition script in one hand, aspiring VTuber Iko live streaming on a tablet, and aspiring announcer Shinobu broadcasting from the broadcasting club room, as well as snippets of the opening and ending themes.
"Tune In to the Midnight Heart" is a manga by Igarashi, known for works such as "Senryu Girl," which was also adapted into a TV anime, and began serialization in the magazine in September 2023. It is a romantic comedy about a second-year high school student, Yamabuki Arisu, who searches for a radio broadcaster named Apollo, whose face and real name she does not know, and who meets four beautiful girls in the broadcasting club of the high school she is attending, all of whom dream of working in a job related to voice acting. The anime will be directed by Takahashi Masayuki and produced by Gekko.
