The second episode of the drama series "Shumaku no Rondo" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, aired on October 20th. The scene where Koharu (Jun Fubuki) and Itsuki (Kusanagi) eat lunch together in the park touched the hearts of viewers.

This human drama follows Torikai Itsuki, an estate organizer who lost his wife five years ago and has a young son, as he and his colleagues at the estate organizer company "Heaven's Messenger" support families with various circumstances.
Sitting on a sunlit bench, Itsuki eats the rice balls Koharu has made. He is reminded of his past self, at the depths of grief after his wife suddenly dies from a subarachnoid hemorrhage, and of Makoto (Nakamura Yuri), who will soon be grieving the loss of her mother.
Itsuki confessed, "She was a lively and cheerful wife, but thinking about it now, there were many signs. I still think, if I had noticed then, I could have done something." Koharu added, "Even if I had noticed, I'm sure I couldn't have done anything. Death is something that belongs only to that person, and it's something that you can't share with anyone, not even parent and child or spouse."
Koharu has just been told she has three months to live. "On the way home after being told I had only a few months left to live, the sunset was incredibly beautiful. It was so beautiful I was shocked. It made me realize how beautiful the world really is," she said, shedding tears as she accepted the handkerchief from Itsuki.
