"Drama 1 Week" brings you the latest drama news from the past week. This week (October 11th-17th) we'll be covering the news of Noriko Eguchi 's appearance in the New Year's special of the popular drama " Extremely Inappropriate! " (TBS), as Extremely Inappropriate! as the early departure of a veteran actor from the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake." We'll be covering these topics in two parts.
On October 14th, it was announced that Noriko Eguchi Extremely Inappropriate! in the New Year's special " Extremely Inappropriate! - off of the popular drama "Futehodo" (TBS). The special will depict events following the events of the serial (January-March 2024). Eguchi will play Taira Junko, a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly. After meeting Taira, Nagisa ( Riisa Naka) becomes fascinated with politics and becomes angry at the social trend of not speaking out about politics. Taira then enters national politics, and an incident occurs that threatens to sway Japan's first female prime minister.
On the 15th, the 23rd episode of NHK's evening drama "Someday, in Zero Gravity" (General TV, Monday-Thursday 10:45 PM), starring Kiryu Aso and Misato Morita, was broadcast, and viewers were moved to tears by the "will" section. One day, Hikari's (Morita) mother, Asako (Kawai Michiko), visits Asuka (Kiryu) and her family. Asako hands over a will that Hikari (Juri Kosaka), a high school student, wrote when she was diagnosed with an illness and had to leave school. It was a declaration of Hikari's determination to go into space. Of the 15-minute episode, nearly 10 minutes are devoted to the "will," which includes flashbacks to her high school days. On social media, comments included, "Juri Kosaka and Misato Morita took turns reading the 'suicide note'! I couldn't watch it without crying..." and "I guess Morita took over as the reader halfway through... What a clever touch. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing..."
On the 15th, the extended premiere special "Atonement by Death" of the new season of the popular detective drama "Aibō Season 24" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9 PM) aired, drawing attention for its current events-infused storyline and thrilling finale. In the first episode, Ukyo (Yutaka Mizutani) becomes Seiryu's apprentice while hiding his identity in order to investigate the mansion of Seiryu, a storyteller who became the scene of a murder. The episode ended with Ukyo revealing his identity by showing Seiryu his police ID, and the story continued into the second episode. Social media users commented that the episode was "refreshing, like the scene where Mito Komon pulls out his seal." There was also a scene in which Goryu (Takaya Aoyagi ), a senior apprentice to Ukyo, is addicted to online casinos, prompting a flurry of reactions on social media, with many commenting that "online casinos are a timely topic."
On the 17th, the 15th episode of the NHK morning drama " Bakebake " (Monday-Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi, aired. The veteran actor's premature departure elicited outcry from viewers. Thanks to Toki (Asadora ), Den ( Shinichi Tsutsumi) showed signs of recovery. At the factory, inspector Hirai (Adachi Tomomitsu) conducts strict quality inspections, and when Sen (Adachi Kino) repeatedly fails, Hirai becomes enraged and slaps Sen across the cheek. Den, who had come to check on her for the first time in a while, witnessed the moment. She asks Sannojo for an explanation, but in the process, she collapses, clutching her stomach... Den's untimely departure drew comments on social media, such as, "I've been crying since this morning. On the 17th, it was revealed that Ota Hikaru of Bakusho Mondai will be appearing in the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring Ryusei Yokohama . He will play the role of a renowned physiognomist and lucky charmer who Tsutaju has brought to Koshodo. This will be Ota's first time appearing in a Taiga drama. He will appear from episode 41 (scheduled to air October 26th). It was also announced that Nakayama Hideyuki and Nakamura Tsubame will be making their Taiga drama debuts. Nakayama will play calligrapher and Japanese scholar Kato Chikage, and Tsubame will play the second Manjiro, the second son of Urokogataya and adopted by Nishimuraya. Like Ota, he will appear from episode 41 onwards.
On the 17th, Snow Man's Hikaru Iwamoto appeared at a press conference for the drama "Koi Suru Keigo 24ji Season 2" (TV Asahi, Fridays at 11:15 PM, excluding some regions), which he stars in and which premieres that evening, held at the TV Asahi headquarters in Minato Ward, Tokyo. Iwamoto is known for being one of the most physically fit people in the entertainment industry, having also appeared on the TBS sports variety show "SASUKE." Narumi Riko, who co-stars with him for the first time in this film, shared a behind-the-scenes anecdote, saying, "When we were filming the gym scene, there was a lot of training equipment, and when Iwamoto came in, he was like, 'There's something I can grab onto!' He was so excited! (laughs)" She added, "I was surprised that he trained even in between hard filming sessions. I saw him doing pull-ups the other day and was impressed by how stoic he was."
