The 12th episode of the NHK morning drama " Bakebake " (Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi as the heroine, was broadcast on October 14th. In the episode, viewers expressed sympathy for Sannojo ( Asadora Rihito Itagaki), who was suddenly appointed acting president of the factory.
In episode 12, the weaving factory where Toki (Takaishi) works falls into financial difficulties due to the economic downturn. The company president, Den (Shinichi Tsutsumi), scrambles to find funds, and Sannojo takes over as acting president in the meantime. Sannojo has been treated like air by Den until now, but when Den speaks to him, he is confused and says, "It's been so long since I last spoke to my father, so you remembered my name." With the eldest son, Ujimatsu (Yasuda Hiroto), having run away, and the second son, Takematsu, having passed away, Sannojo is left with no choice but to take on the role.
Sannojo, who had been left out until now, had no idea what to do and could only sit dazed at his desk at the factory. Even when the inspector Hirai (Adachi Tomomitsu) presented him with a reconstruction plan, Sannojo could only reply, "I'm sorry... I don't know anything."
Meanwhile, the Ushimizu family is unable to pay their maids their wages and lays them off, causing anxiety among the female workers, including Toki, Chiyo (played by Anna Kurasawa), and Sen (played by Kino Adachi). Furthermore, Den, who had been busy raising funds, suddenly collapses.
Worried, Toki visits the Ushimizu household, where she finds Tae (Keiko Kitagawa) burning rice while trying to make porridge. Sannojo tells Toki, "You might not believe this, but... the maid is gone, and (Tae) said that this morning was the first time she opened the sliding door by herself." Still, Tae insists on taking care of her herself. When Toki says, "I can't take care of you, Auntie,"Sannojo raises his voice and says, "Then what should I do? What should I do...? Don't push everything on me!" and leaves the scene.
Comments on social media included, "He's been left out of the loop all this time, so suddenly he's being told to do everything...", "He was told not to show his face at the factory, so suddenly he's being made the successor, that's just terrible", "It's just too cruel to push something on someone who doesn't know anything", "Sannojo's mental health is being worn down little by little, it's unbearable to watch", "Someone...someone please help him...!", "What are we really supposed to do", and "I always thought he was just a laid-back, soothing young man...it was a really tough role."
