The TBS Friday drama "Fake Mummy" (Fridays at 10 p.m.), starring actors Haru and Rina Kawaei, will begin airing on October 10th. The story revolves around a former career woman who is currently job hunting, played by Haru, who pretends to be the mother of a former delinquent company president who is now a single mother, played by Kawaei.
"Fake Mommy" by Sonomura Mitsuru, winner of the first grand prize in the "TBS NEXT WRITERS CHALLENGE," a competition to discover and nurture screenwriters, has been made into a TV drama series.
The story is about Hanamura Kaoru (Haru), who suddenly quit her job and is struggling to find a new job. She interviews with the venture company RAINBOWLAB, where she meets the company president and single mother Hidaka Mamie (Kawaei), who asks her to act as a substitute for her daughter who is applying to a prestigious private elementary school...
Ikemura Aoi will play Iroha, Makie's undisclosed only daughter, while Mukai Koji from the popular group Snow Man will play Koji Mukai Ryuma, the vice president who co-founded RAINBOWLAB with Makie. Nakamura Aoi will play Sasaki Tomoya, a teacher at the prestigious private Yanagiwa Gakuen Elementary School. Noro Kayo will play Kujo Reika, the president of the Yanagiwa Association, the school's parent-teacher organization that values discipline and tradition. Tanaka Minami will play Motohashi Sayuri, who meets Kaoru through the entrance exams.
In the first episode... Hanamura Kaoru is struggling to find a new job despite graduating from Tokyo University and previously working at the major Mitsuhashi Shoji company. When repeatedly asked why she left, Kaoru insists it was for career advancement. However, there are few companies with a higher prestige than Mitsuhashi Shoji. Even the job placement agency is at a loss.
One day, Kaoru is approached by RAINBOWLAB's president, Mamie, who was supposed to have rejected her, asking if she would like to work as a tutor for her daughter. Mamie, who has an obvious ex-yan aura, wants her 6-year-old daughter, Iroha, who is not publicly known, to take the entrance exam, and offers Kaoru a large sum of money.
On her first day as a private tutor, Iroha is understanding in front of Mamie, but the moment she is alone with Kaoru, she starts making a series of insolent remarks. The truth behind private tutoring, where many students quit despite the high pay, is revealed.
After finishing her tutoring duties, Kaoru returns home and receives a call from Makaie. After missing the babysitter, Kaoru hears that Iroha is alone and heads over to Makaie's house. There, she finds Iroha drawing on the wall amidst the clutter. Kaoru tries to stop Iroha, but then she realizes something important...
