Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash Part 2 "Circe's Witch" to be released on January 30, 2026

It has been announced that the second part of the popular Gundam anime series , Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash(directed by Murase Shukou), titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash : Circe's Witch, will be released in 365 theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026. This will be the first new film in about five years since the first part was released in June 2021. It has also been announced that the film will be screened in theaters outside of Japan.

The latest trailer has also been released, featuring the main visual featuring Hathaway Noah, Gigi Andalusia, Kenneth Sleg, and the XI Gundam, Hathaway acting to carry out his goal as Mufti while still unable to shake off his feelings for Gigi, Kenneth preparing to eliminate Mufti, Gigi, who connects the destinies of Hathaway and Kenneth, and the human drama surrounding them.

"Hathaway's Flash" is based on a novel published in 1989-90 by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, known as the creator of the "Gundam" series. Set in the year 0105 of the Universal Century, the story depicts Hathaway, the son of Bright Noa, who experienced a bitter separation during the Second Neo Zeon War, piloting a new mobile suit, the XI Gundam, in a rebellion against the Earth Federation government.

It has been announced that the anime will be made into three parts. The first part, which was released in June 2021, was a hit, grossing approximately 2.23 billion yen. Like the first part, the second part will be directed by Murase Shukou, who has also worked on "Genocidal Organ," and will feature voice actors such as Kensho Ono as Hathaway, Reina Ueda Junichi Suwabe Soma Saito as Lane Aim.

Ono, who plays Hathaway, commented, "'Everything is crazy.' A man who has doubts about this world suffers alone, wondering what justice is and what he should fight for. And then there's Gigi, whose existence grows uncontrollably. Is it the world that's gone crazy, or something else? Please look forward to the film's release."

Ueda, who plays Gigi, said, "I wonder if she is aware that she is the one who will determine the outcome of the battle... There are lines that sound like she is playing around with the individual sounds of the name 'Hathaway Noah,' but I would be happy if I could also show everyone her serious thoughts and worries."

Suwabe, who plays Kenneth, commented, "It's been a very long wait. I've been waiting eagerly as well. The second chapter of ' Hathaway's Flash' is finally here! The trailer, with its increasing tension, is enough to give you goosebumps. The story of these characters, at the mercy of fate, takes another step forward. Please look forward to it!"
