An exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV anime "Dirty Pair" will be held at Kitasenju Marui (Adachi Ward, Tokyo) from October 10th. Valuable production materials from the "Dirty Pair" and "Dirty Pair FLASH" series, such as original plans, rough sketches, setting drawings, original drawings, and storyboards, will be gathered together. Original drawings, cels, and color specifications will also be on display for the first time. Tsukasa Doki, who was in charge of character design, has drawn the key visual for the exhibition. It will run until November 3rd.
"Dirty Pair" is based on a popular science fiction novel by Haruka Takachiho. It was broadcast in 1985 and was a pioneer of "anime for boys with a female protagonist" and "mecha and beautiful girls."
They also produced "Dirty Pair's Big Battle: The Mystery of Norlandia," "Dirty Pair: From Lovely Angel With Love," "Dirty Pair The Movie," "Dirty Pair (OVA series)," and "Dirty Pair: Flight 005 of the Plot." In 1994, they welcomed a new designer and produced the "Dirty Pair FLASH" series as an OVA (original video animation), which renewed the character and mecha settings.
