Actors Shunsuke Daito and Marie Iitoyo appear in NHK's "Drama 10: Shiba no Okite ~Warera Inu-baka Editorial Department~" (General TV, Tuesdays at 10pm). The subtitle of the second episode, which will be broadcast on October 7th, is "If Shiba Falls, Everyone Falls," and scene cuts have also been released.
The drama is based on the non-fiction book "Heisei Dog-crazy Editorial Department" by Yuka Katano. Set in the Shiba Inu magazine "Shiba One," the drama is a human story that gently unravels the tangled hearts of people. Daito plays Shunichi Sagara, the editor-in-chief of the Shiba Inu magazine, and Iitoyo plays Reika Ishimori, an editor who is somehow at odds with Sagara.
In the second episode, Fukusuke and the editorial staff of the magazine "Shiba One" head out to shoot in the city. Meanwhile, Fukusuke is startled by a sudden loud thunderclap and disappears in the middle of the city. Sagara (played by Daito) and Ishimori (played by Iitoyo Masa) unite in a desperate search for Fukusuke and rescue him. The commotion surrounding Fukusuke's disappearance brings the once-disjointed staff together. This leads to the creation of a full-scale feature article.
Their unity was short-lived, as behind the scenes, the very existence of "Shiba ONE" was in jeopardy...
