Viewer ratings for the 36th episode of the Taiga drama "UNBOUND"

The 37th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sundays at 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Hell in Kyoto," was broadcast on September 28th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 8.9% for households and 5.1% for individuals.

" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, who is known for her work on the highly talked-about "Drama 10: Ooku," which aired on NHK two years ago.

In the 37th episode, Harumachi (Okayama Amane) commits suicide, Kisanji (Omi Toshinori) leaves, and Masanori (Furukawa Yudai) hesitates to write.

Around that time, Utamaro (Shota Sometani) receives a request for a hand-painted painting from a merchant in Tochigi, and reports his joy to Kiyo (Sawako Fujima). Meanwhile, Sadanobu (Yuki Inoue) implements the donation ban order, the demolition of Nakasu, and the frugality measures for the Ooku. Yoshiwara is affected by this, so Tsutae (Yokohama) asks Masaya and Utamaro for a new job, but Tei (AI Hashimoto) objects to the plan... and so the story unfolds.

In the same episode, there was a scene where Kiyo's legs were shown in a significant close-up as she embraced Utamaro, which caused anxiety among viewers, with comments such as "The darkness of Morishita's script is already shining through," "Those legs shown in close-up... I have a bad feeling..." and "Morishita's script is dropping another sinister hint."
