The key visual (KV) for NHK's evening drama "Hirayasumi" (Monday to Thursday, 10:45 PM), starring actor Amane Okayama, has been released. The contrasting figures of Hiroto (Okayama), who has a gentle and calm expression in front of a one-story house that seems left behind by the times, and Natsumi (Mori Nana), who seems both grumpy and energetic, symbolize the story of "Hiroto, who never changes," and "Natsumi, who changes in many ways." The drama will begin airing on November 3rd.
Art direction is by Idea Oshima. This will be his third NHK drama, following "I Didn't Love You Because You Were Family, I Loved You Because You Were Family" and "Tokyo Salad Bowl." Photographs that capture the happiness of everyday life were taken by Yoko Takahashi. It was also announced that Harumi Fuki will be in charge of the drama's music, and Setsuko Fukushima will be the music producer.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Shinzo Keigo, which has been serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits since 2021. Hiroto, a 29-year-old part-time worker, begins living with his 18-year-old cousin Natsumi, who moved to Tokyo from Yamagata, in a detached one-story house he inherited from a neighboring grandmother. The story follows the two of them as people with difficult problems gather around them.
Okayama will play the main character Hiroto, Mori will play Hiroto's cousin Natsumi, who has moved to Tokyo to attend art school, and Riho Yoshioka will play Yomogi, a woman who works at a real estate company and whom Hiroto meets by chance.
