On September 26th, actress Nanako Matsushima attended the "Final Episode Viewing Party" for the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times) held at the Kochi Prefectural Cultural Hall (Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture). She spoke about the character she played, Takashi Yanai Yanai (played by Takumi Kitamura).
On the same day, "Anpan" aired its final episode, and Matsushima commented, "I'm filled with gratitude to (the lead actress) Mio Imada for all her hard work over the past year. On set, she was always a cheerful and reliable heroine, so I was able to watch over her with peace of mind."
Regarding Tomiko, the character she played, she said with a laugh, "Tomiko's straightforward manner of speaking was necessary for the role, and I was able to say every line without hesitation and with ease. Many of the characters written by (screenwriter) Nakazono-san are straightforward people who say exactly what they want to say, so I sometimes felt a little disappointed in the scenes where Tomiko wasn't using her sharp tongue."
"The way she speaks out without sugarcoating if she thinks something is wrong is something that she shares with Nobu-san, and I also really liked the detailed direction in which Taka falls in love with someone who resembles his mother. I was really happy to be able to play Tomiko until the final week," she said.
The "final episode viewing party" was attended by screenwriter Miho Nakazono and chief director Yanagawa Tsuyoshi, executive director. Approximately 1,300 people attended the venue.
